The 2025-2026 US Beekeeping Survey is Live!

April 1, 2026
This year’s annual US Beekeeping Survey – the 19th year of consecutive managed honey bee colony monitoring – is now open to beekeeper participation during the month of April.
This is your chance to help researchers and industry leaders take the pulse of the beekeeping industry by recording managed honey bee colony losses and providing insights on beekeeping practices across the United States. Results of the survey are important in many ways, from helping to raise awareness and resources for beekeeping, to setting research directions within our great network of land-grant universities, to evaluating extension beekeeping programs performed across the country.
Please contribute as a Citizen Scientist to this monitoring effort, first started by the Bee Informed Partnership and now continued by Auburn University, the Apiary Inspectors of America, Oregon State University, and our beekeeping industry partners nationwide by midnight on April 30th. All US beekeepers aged 18 and over – from backyard hobbyists to those running multi-state commercial operations – are invited to participate. The survey will take 20-30 minutes to complete.
The 2025-2026 US Beekeeping Survey is supported by the One Hive Foundation, Project Apis m., the National Honey Board, the American Beekeeping Federation, the American Honey Producers Association and the North Dakota Department of Agriculture.
